Service Program for Older People (SPOP) meet the 20 Standards for Charity Accountability.


Service Program for Older People (SPOP) provides comprehensive mental health services to adults age 55 and older. The geriatric mental health clinic offers psychiatric and physical health assessments, integrated physical and mental health care, individual and group therapy, and medication management. Specialized substance abuse treatment is for adults with a dual diagnosis of mental illness and substance abuse disorder. Homebound service is available to seniors who are unable to travel to appointments. The clinic operates satellite sites in partnership with senior centers and other organizations throughout Manhattan. Personalized Recovery Oriented Services (PROS) provides life skills training and support for adults with serious and persistent mental illness. Bereavement Support is offered free of charge to adults who have lost a loved one. SPOP provides free Information and Referral Services to seniors and caregivers, and Education and Training to the staff of other organizations.
