Programs
 

              
The Long Island Children's Museum (LICM) is a learning laboratory that inspires children and their families through interdisciplinary, hands-on, fun experiences. Exhibits at LICM include Bricks and Sticks, Bubbles and Changes & Challenges, where children learn how people with differing abilities adapt to daily challenges. The Communication Station is where children broadcast the news, create animations and explore artful illustrations of technology. The It's Alive program is a journey through the body discovering how humans grow, eat, and move. The Long Island Children's Museum also has many programs including a theater, where interactive performers, including musicians, storytellers, and theater groups perform. LICM also produces workshops, which offer in-depth art, science and cultural experiences for children. Early Childhood Programs designed for children under 5 and Outreach Programs conducted for schools, libraries, scout groups and community centers are also provided.
