Evaluation Conclusions

DOME Project meets the 20 Standards for Charity Accountability.

The DOME Project currently operates the following programs: Our Juvenile Justice Program is an extraordinarily successful and cost-effective effort that for over 25 years has kept thousands of young offenders from repeat criminal activity and prevented thousands of at-risk youths from ever becoming involved in crime. The program serves as a unifying source of support to youngsters through counseling, court advocacy, supervision, and assistance with educational, vocational, mental health, housing, and substance abuse placement. The program serves approximately 100 youths each year and is widely respected by all sectors of the criminal justice system (including judges, prosecutors, and defense lawyers). It is the goal of The DOME to provide our youngsters with intensive therapeutic individual and group counseling so that they avoid criminal activity or being re-arrested and become productive members of society. The Academic Tutoring Program pairs youth with a tutor who works with the student for the duration of the school year on one particular subject area. Program participants receive intensive educational support (i.e., tutoring, skill building, test prep, etc.) from their tutor as well as Educational Consultants who supervise the sessions. The College Prep Program assists students in gaining entry into college and prep schools through academic support services (tutoring, test prep workshops, college trips, and financial aid).
