The National Foundation for Facial Reconstruction (NFFR) serves as the funding arm of the Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery which treats 2,000 patients each year, 70% of whom are on Medicaid, uninsured or unable to afford any unreimbursed fees. The support of the NFFR and the donated services of the doctors allow the Institute to treat all patients, regardless of the severity or type of condition, the length of treatment or the ability of the family to afford care. NFFR also supports psychological and social services, family programs, research, and education that inspire a new generation of doctors.
