Provides programs, both in and out of the hospital, that offer children ways to cope with the social, emotional, and medical aspects of serious illness and provides families with a community of support and understanding. Great Escapes- outpatient program brings together seriously ill children, their siblings, and parents to attend special outings and events. Starlight Fun Center Mobile Entertainment Units Program and iPad Program- provides portable entertainment units and iPads to hospitalized children to use for fun and educational videos, video games, and other technology-based entertainment. Hospital Happenings- provides in- hospital events including: hospital parties; visits from musicians, clowns, and entertainers; distribution of toys; and therapeutic workshops. Pediatric Hospital Support Program- provides creative and fun outlets and projects for seriously ill, hospitalized children through partnerships with hospitals throughout the tri-state area. Starlight Sites- are child-friendly treatment rooms in pediatric hospitals that make the hospital experience less intimidating and frightening. Starbright World- is an online social network for teens with chronic and life-threatening medical conditions, and their siblings, to connect with other teens that are in similar situations.



Starlight partners with experts and innovators in healthcare, entertainment and technology to create a unique blend of family-centered services from hospital to home.

Starlight Fun Centers® – Mobile entertainment units containing the latest gaming system that roll beside in hospitals to provide distractive entertainment and therapeutic play for pediatric patients.

Starbright World® – The first-ever online social network for teens with chronic and life-threatening medical conditions, and their siblings.

Starlight Tablets – A critical resource for healthcare professionals to support the ongoing needs of kids while in the hospital. Starlight Tablets come loaded with Starbright World and links to Starlight’s educational programming and recommended applications.

Hospital Happenings® – Fun-filled parties and therapeutic workshops on-site at the hospital include laughter-packed visits from musicians, clowns, and entertainers, plus other special activities. Warm, cuddly teddy bears are distributed to provide a welcome distraction from the stress and fear that children experience while in the hospital, and help boost their strength.

Starlight Escapes – Family outings are designed to create fun, carefree, positive memories for pediatric patients and their families and provide them the opportunity to connect with others on a similar journey. Outings include movies, concerts, sporting events, and other recreation away from healthcare facilities.

Starlight Site® – Beautifully designed, inviting hospital environments are created to support the healing of pediatric patients during their hospital stay.

Pediatric Hospital Support –Access to art, music, and dance therapies are among the many ways in which Starlight provides support in our partner hospitals for pediatric patients and their families.
