The Wyandanch Homes and Property Development Corporation was created in 1985 to alleviate a severe housing shortage for the poor living in Wyandanch and other impacted Suffolk County Communities. WHPDC works with family members, both young adults and the parents, to teach them the basics of money management and financial literacy. One on one instruction is given at their home. WHPDC also offers a combination of housing relocation services and home-based case management that allows homeless families to break the cycle of homelessness, not only for now but for their future as well.
