Scenic Hudson is dedicated to protecting and restoring the Hudson River. The organization offers programs related to redevelopment, environmental education, farmland protection and land preservation to preserve the land and resources of the Hudson Valley. The Brownfield redevelopment program restores the natural beauty to the abandoned and contaminated properties around the Hudson Valley. The organization’s environmental education program addresses environmental and economic issues related to development in Hudson Valley. The program also educates the community on how to appreciate and preserve nature. The farmland preservation program expands and preserves farmland in and around the Hudson Valley. Additionally, through the Scenic Hudson Land Trust the organization restores abandoned land and makes the parks open for public use.
